Rabbi Eva Goldfinger
Rabbi Eva Goldfinger is the Life Cycle Director and Adult Educator for the Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism of Toronto, Canada. She was ordained in 2005 as the first Humanistic Rabbi in Canada.
Eva Goldfinger has been
active in building the movement of Humanistic Judaism at the local, national, and international levels. She has been the
President of the Leadership Conference of Secular Humanistic Jews, the certifying and ordaining body for Humanistic Judaism.
She currently sits on the Board of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, on the Executive Committee of the Association for
Humanistic Rabbis, and is an advisor to the board of the International Federation for Secular & Humanistic Judaism.
A Jewish educator, Eva offers courses and lectures extensively in Toronto, other parts of Canada, and the United
States. She is Director of the Canadian Section of the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism. She has produced
several publications for the IISHJ that are being actively used throughout Humanistic Judaism. She is an informal advisor
to the president of the IFSHJ.
